Thanks to a generous grant from Co-operation Ireland Labour Youth and SDLPYouth will be hosting a forum this weekend to discuss the future of the Social Democracy in Ireland. The event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, 02 April, from 2-6pm in the Connolly Room, Liberty Hall, Dublin 1.

Commenting on the event SDLP youth Chairman John O’Doherty said “it is important that purely democratic parties both side of the border work together to achieve a better Ireland for everyone. SDLP youth have been working with other socialist Parties throughout Ireland and Europe through the Inter Isles forum and E-cosy and have welcomed any opportunity to establish relationships and more importantly friendships.

“The SDLP and Labour have a history of working for the bread and butter issues that affect everybody throughout Ireland. Because of this Labour were the clear partners for this event and we look forward to working with them in the future.
